BROWSBLOCATIONAME

We invite you to browse archival material from the Special Collections by location name, sorted by their respective municipality. Although we have categorized Appalachian State University as a separate entity for organization's sake, it is important to keep in mind that the University is not separated from its community. We have created a profile for each location, combining our research to highlight how that space facilitated important history and culture for local LGBTQ+ communities and individuals. In some instances, a single structure has witnessed or played an active role in multiple narratives. Each location profile includes relevant archival material to illustrate these stories.
