Research shared on this site is based on that conducted in various Appalachian State University public history graduate courses supervised by Dr. Kristen Baldwin Deathridge. Initial student researchers include: Lydia Biallas, Chelsey Johnson, Ellie McCorkle, Clint Turbeville, and Pofue Yang. The website was initially created in Spring 2022 in partnership with Belk Library's Digital Scholarship & Initiatives Team, by Morgan Courtney, Stewie Meyers, Matt Abbott, and Nick Mullins as part of the requirements for the Digital History class.

Major site revisions were completed in Fall 2022 by Taylin Spurlock, and educational materials were created by Cat Keith, both as part of the Introduction to Public History seminar. We remain grateful for the assistance of the Belk Library DS&I Team, particularly Dea Rice
